September 22 – 29, 2016: Murder Party

So here it is again. Looks like it takes a rainy day keeping me from riding my bike to get caught up on journals. I’ve packed a lot into the last week or so, but this will be a few highlights.

My good friend from middle and high school, Scott, joined is for game night. He was only around long enough for one game, but it was still nice. On Saturday we played pathfinder. I finally let the chaotic come through in my character. Not sure other players were big fans of that though.

And on Wednesday Sean and I made teriyaki chicken pineapple bowls. So damn good. I’ve finished Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, started and finished Alien Rangers, and started Power Rangers Zeo. Last night I also started Harmon Quest.

September 21, 2016: Persuasion Competition

Five mile bike ride and some Pretend Wizards before work. I have to push to make myself go since I wake up at seven and need to leave at nine, but I manage. Work is mind numbing. I take two deliveries and have next to nothing that needs to be done.

When four thirty comes it’s a godsend. I head to the house where Sean picks me up. We grab taco bell on the way over to his mom’s and then chill out. We lace earlier than normal since his mom is working a different route for the tone being and has to wake up at one thirty.

Back home I contemplate going for another ride, but I think my lights need to be charged so I skip it for the night. Instead I go in and put on Adult Swim. I’m out a bit earlier than normal.

September 20, 2016: Wizards Go Up

Today started with Married with Children, followed up with a bike ride. It’s a short one because of the chance of rain. After that I go to work and it’s a mostly normal day. A little bit of everything in store and a handful of deliveries.

After work my Nana gets up with me and I join her for dinner at Texas. Always good. We leave the restaurant at six thirty and I have just enough time to hit Memory Lane before they close.

Then I’m home. Clay and I go for a bike ride and then I call it a night. I put on adult swim and watch until I pass out.

September 19, 2016: B+ in Murder

I start my day with a little Deadpool, a little Married with Children, and a little coffee. Around eight thirty I get up and start getting ready to go for a bike ride. Then the rain starts coming in. Instead of riding my bike, I put my application in for a job I’d been told about. I’m not going to put the name of the company in here just in case I get the job.

Before heading out for work I watch some more Married with Children until nine and then Mighty Morphin Power Rangers until ten.

Work starts and ends busy with a lull in the middle. Most of the day I listen to Pretend Wizards. I’m more than a little addicted to listening to D&D play podcasts and this one is really fun.

After work I go home. I have a calzone for dinner and then Calie, Chris, Clay and I go for a bike ride. The night ends with adult swim.

September 18, 2016: 44HP

The day starts out looking like a lazy Sunday. I watch a few hours of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. By the time I’m done I have maybe six episodes left before Zeo. I also watch an episode of Psych and Salem while baking a cake.

Around one I finally decide to get out and do something. I head out to the Smith Creek Park for a bike ride. Initially I thought I’d just do my normal thirty minutes or so and then head out, but when that point comes I decide to go for ten miles. Around the eight mile mark is starts to drizzle and I make the choice to cut it short and not risk getting soaked. The rain never came.

Back home I chill out. We order Chinese for dinner. Afterwards I decide to get a few more miles in. Clay and Calie join me and after my normal trek I’m still looking to go more. Clay suggests heading the other direction and doing the loop. After the first time around Calie splits off and heads back home. I don’t blame her one bit, I don’t think I could go as hard as she does if I had messed my knee up.

Clay and I do the loop once more before heading back to the house. We’re so close to five miles that I suggest going between the cul-de-sacs to finish it out. After the ride I get clean and read my Cassandra Cain Batgirl TPB. I’m left wanting more. She is by far my favorite Batgirl, not that hard when there have been only three that I know of.

Around nine I do what I can journal wise before calling it a day. I put on sling. After one episode of Impractical Jokers sling starts acting up, so I switch to Netflix for an episode of Bob’s Burgers. Then I give sling another shot. I go to sleep watching South Park.

September 17, 2016: 4 Bars Wolf

Batman day.

I wake up much later than I meant to and have to throw clothes in the drier. While they’re drying I get it in my head to ride my bike up to the shop. Not the worst idea I’ve ever had, but for a short stretch while I’m right on market and then college, kind of sketchy.

While at the shop I hang out witch Charles and the guys that work there. Nathan stops in, but leaves before we really hang out any. I flip flop between getting a ten dollar bag or something else. I end up getting an old Cassandra Cain Batgirl TPB and Harley Quinn Pop Keychain.

Eric, Charles and I also walked over to Gamestop to see about Pokémon Go Plus, but they’re sold out. The guy tells Eric he’ll let him know when they come back in. Then we go back to the shop. I hang out for a while longer and before I leave Clay talks me into going to an escape room with him.
Around three or so I head back to the house. This time I take a path that puts me on college longer, but less active roads the rest of the way. It feels much safer, which is odd since it leads straight into I-40.

Back home I chill out until quarter till six. That’s when Calie, Chris, Clay and I get in the car and head for Cape Fear Escape Room. We meet Alicia and David there and head in to travel through time. We don’t fully piece together the story, but we do make it out in just under the hour mark.

The idea sounded really fun and it didn’t disappoint. The puzzles are just challenging enough to be fun but not aggravating. Honestly it’s something I would love to do again.

From there we head over to Red Robin for dinner. Afterwards we stop by Harris Teeter so I can get eggs for my cake and then head to the house. After that I just chill out watching Adult Swim until I fall asleep.

September 9 – 16, 2016: Jelly of the Ooze

I’m getting really bad at keeping up with these. Honestly it could be because of getting out and riding my bike before work almost everyday, so I guess it’s a good thing. I’ll just have to get back to writing them up bit by bit through the day and night.

Other than biking, I’ve worked, played games and just all around enjoyed my life to the best of my ability. I’m contemplating the concept of an Adventure Life/Lifestyle and what it means to me. Currently I’m trying to get in better shape so I can go out and do adventurous things if the chance arises, but it can also just mean going out and doing something out of the ordinary for you.

I guess I just want to have as much fun as possible in this world while I can.

September 8, 2016: Darkness of the Tower

Two mile bike ride to start the day. Then I go to work and get everything done quick. Don’t have any deliveries until quarter after three and then it gets crazy busy. I don’t head home until five.

On my way home I stop at Walmart and get cereal. Back home, Robin has marinated chicken all day. I was going to grill it, but Chris and Clay make me second guess myself and Clay ends up grilling. It’s delicious.

After dinner Calie, Chris, Clay, and I play Sherlock Holmes. Really neat game, but very difficult. We don’t end up finishing because it’s taking a long time. I go to sleep watching American Dad.

September 7, 2016: Devine Crocodile

Standard wednesday, but sometimes the standard is what you need. I go to work and put the truck away. Get everything done in the store and take a few deliveries. Then I go home.

Sean and I go to his mom’s for dinner. Sean makes pigs in a blanket. We watch Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Family Feud, and Impractical Jokers before heading home. I go to sleep watching Netflix.

September 6, 2016: Hobby Gobby

I start my day by walking a mile. Riding the bike is great, but I didn’t expect to feel the walk as much as I did. It was nice. Then I went to work. Pretty normal day.

After work I hang out at Memory Lane. I pick up my books and get the Batgirl imposter Harley Quinn Pop! while I’m at it. After the comic shop, I  head home and ride bikes with Calie and Clay up to Zaxby’s for dinner. The only part that was sketchy was riding along Gordon.

Back at the house I collapse on the couch for the night. Overall I had a pretty busy day.
