Pokémon Go Journal 5: Deathballers

Day 17 – Not a big day for Pokémoning. I do hatch a few eggs and hit some stops, but today was more about work and game night.

Day 18 – While out with my mom I hit some Pokéstops, catch some of the more common monsters and hatch a couple Ghastly.

Later she drops me off at the park to meet up with friends. While they’re in the water I take their bags to hit a few Pokéstops and catch little monsters. I find a few Charmanders among some other more common pokémon.

After they they get out of the water we do a lap around the pond and catch some more.

Day 19 – Clay, Chris, Sean, Travis, and I head back out to the Smith Creek Park for a day of water and pokémon fun. We kayak, we swim and we catch some pokémon. I catch enough Charmanders to evolve the strongest into a Charmelion. Great day.
Day 20 – Back to work and therfore back little in the ways of my Pokémon adventure. Mostly I catch a ton of Pidgeys and Weedles.

July 24, 2016: Enigmatic Mr E

I start my day with Netflix. I watch Leroy and Stitch. It’snot as good as the original movie, but still fun. I also try and start Stranger Things, but I don’t get ten minutes in before it’s time to go. Chris, Clay and I go to taco bell for lunch joined by Sean and Traviswho had already eaten.

From there we go back to Smith Creek Park. Clay borrowed another kayak so today all five of us go out for hours of paddling around and swimming. When we get back to shore we grab or phones and hit the Pokéstops before leaving.  I also manage to catch another Charmander.

After getting showered I try again to start Stranger Things. Again, I get maybe five minutes in before Sean and tennis come over. We order pizza for dinner and try a game Clay head learned to play. Archipelago is an interesting game. I think I’d enjoy it more the fourth or fifth time playing when I understand what I’m doing better. That being said, I somehow won.

After everyone heads out and to bed, I again start Stranger Things. I get through the first episode before it’s time I go to sleep myself, but I really really think I’m digging it. Didn’t hurt that they start by playing D&D, even if figures didn’t come into play for many years to come.

July 23, 2016: Darkest Corners

Mixed in between everything else today I watch some random Netflix. Early in the day we do some yard work. I mow and listen to Nerd Poker while Chris and Clay rake and tend the fire pit and Johnny weedeats and edges. That setence had so many ands, but it just feels right.
After the lawn is dealt with I take a shower. Then I wait for my mom to come get me at one thirty. First off we take the dogs to pets mart to get flea baths, then I have her drop me off at gamestop. I grab a copy of the Harley Quinn variant they had ordered for me. While I’m there I also get a power bank.

From gamestop I walk over to red robin for lunch with mom, Nana, and Caroline. I try the Ramen burger. It’s not the best burger they have, but it’s actually pretty tasty. After lunch our next stop is Kohls. I make a few laps for egg purposes and then grab a couple shirts.

After Kohls we pick the dogs up, hit big lots and then I get dropped off at the Smith Creek Park. The guys are already there and getting ready to hit the water. They give me their phones and I pokémon while they’re out in the water. After they get done we all make a lap around the pond to catch more and then head to the house.

Dinner is had. For me is Chinese food. Then it’s time to go to Carmike. Chris, Clay, Sean, Travis and myself go to the nine forty-five showing of Star Trek Beyond. It just might be my favorite of the Fast and Furious series and is not bad for a Star Trek flick either. There’s one part that really makes me think about Futurama.

After the movie is back home and then to bed. Tonight I fall asleep to American Dad.

July 22, 2016: Dirkable Dog

Around seven thirty I wake up and start my day with the new Ghostbusters. Honestly, not as bad as the trailers made it look. If I’m being completely honest, I actually enjoyed it for the most part. Patty might have been my favorite character. I do miss the simplicity of the old trap compared to the one they used. It made no sense that she would throw it at random and the pedal would shoot off and land exactly where she needed it.

Some of the other new gadgets were neat though. I liked the idea of the ghost grenade. It would also have been awesome if they could have gotten Rick Moranis to come back to screen acting for this. He would have actually been great for the big bad. The proton pistols/Lazer whips are also neat.

Before I leave for work I also have time to watch an episode of the Simpsons and catch up on some Journaling. On my way in I have enough time to stop in at the village. The work shift isn’t to bad. Everything gets done and I have a few deliveries.

After work I hit the village again fora few laps before going to Walmart and then home. At the house, Robin make taco stuff for dinner and Sean and Travis come over for game night. We played a good handful, but I don’t remember the names of any of the new ones.

One was about escaping a black hole and that was fun. There was Batman Love Letter and Villa. I feel like there was more, but I’m blanking out on them right now. We played until one thirty or so. Alcohol may have also been involved on my part, would explain not remembering exactly what we played.

After everyone leaves, Chris throws my stuff down and I hit the couch. To go to sleep I throw on some Futurama.

Pokémon Go Journal 4: Parliament of Owls

Day 13 – Not much to my adventure today. I mainly am just trying to get some potions still.

Day 14 – Much more of the same from the last few days. I go looking for items and waste more than I’d like.

Day 15 – Still mostly looking for items today. I also have some trouble connecting to the Proffesor’s network, but I hear there’s a lot of that going on. Late in the night I’m able to get connected again so I send over a bunch of little pocket monsters.

Day 16 – I leave extra early for work today. On the way I grab some breakfast and then hit the village. I spend an hour just going in circles hatching eggs and hitting the Pokéstops.

At the end of my shift I tackle the gym behind work. It takes a good twenty minutes, I use a lot of potions, and after I take it I hold it for all of ten minutes. Gyms are crazy like that.

After dinner, Chris and I head over to Hugh McRae park to walk around. We hit the Pokéstops. I catch a Kadabra. Our incense don’t seem to work today. I try and battle a gym, but it turns out team Mystic had some asshole snipers nearby. I really hate trainers that wait for a gym to be down and then just claim ownership for themselves.

July 21, 2016: Apocalypse Traffic

Up at seven I start my day with Impractical Jokers. At nine I leave to get an early start to the day. On my way to Hampstead I grab some breakfast from Burger King and then head to the village. I spend an hour going around hatching eggs and hitting Pokéstops. I also sit and read Snotgirl. I didn’t expect that ending.

From eleven to five I’m at work. It starts slow and between Clayton and myself we’re able to get everything done and get a start towards the Friday tasks. Around three it picks up a little and I’m able to take a few deliveries. After work I tackle the gym behind work. It takes twenty minutes or so, I waste a lot of potions,  and then I’m only the gym leader for ten to twenty minutes.

Taylor tells me that MovieStop now has a closing date and that toys are 60% off, so I run by and grab the Randal figure they have. Then I meet up with Calie and Clay for dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings.

After dinner I pick Chris up and we hit Hugh Macrae Park for some Pokémon go fun. I try for a gym, but it turns out Team Mystic are worse than Team Valor. Everytime I’d take they gym they’d snipe it. It’s one thing to beat me and take it back, but if you’re a sniper then you’re scum. Plain and simple.

Back at the house, Clay and Robin are doing yoga when we get there. I send some pokémon off while I chill and realize I couldn’t do yoga. Then when they’re done I try and watch South Park, but Chromecast keeps restarting. Then I try and watch Netflix, but to many people are on. So it’s back to Hulu and falling asleep as quickly as possible.

July 20, 2016: Zenon Bloom

The day is started off with Whose Line Is It Anyways and some Simpsons. I leave extra early to go in and put the truck away. Getting the cooler and freezer organizing went without a problem, but from the time we opened until almost five I didn’t stop going. I was so busy that Nathan ended up having to do the pastas and wings.

After work I ran by Memory Lane to pick up my books, then I head to the house. Sean picks me up and we meet his mom at Southern Girls. Great sandwiches are had before we head to her house. We make it in time to watch the last half of Jeopardy. Before we head home we also watch Family Feud and Impractical Jokers, and I read almost all the comics I got today.

Batman 3 was really good and gives you an idea of where Gotham and Gotham girl came from. Wonder Woman Rebirth and 1 were burgh pretty good. They leave me intrigued to see where they go with the story. All New Wolverine 10 is an outstanding set up for the next few books, I just hope it isn’t a connecting story with Old Man Logan.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 5 was good. They’re really adding a lot of great stuff to the history of the Rangers. And of course I Hate Fairyland was genius as always. I’m left wondering if Duncan will be able to tell Gert anything new about our world since she’s been gone.

Around eleven we head out. As soon as I get to the house I put the couch together and lie down. I put on Futurama and am out.

July 19, 2016: Nightwing and Flamebird

I start my day by watching three hours of Whose Line Is It Anyways. There isn’t really much I can say that I haven’t said about it. I am getting more okay with the new setup than I had initially been I guess, will always miss Drew though.

Work is mostly normal. Slow day, few deliveries, new shift leader. If there’s something. I worked with a new shift leader today. Her name is Kate. We didn’t interact a whole lot, but she seems nice.

After work I hang out at Memory Lane. I have some trouble getting on Pokémon Go at first, but when I do I’m able to hit the Pokéstop a couple times and the GPS glitches me around enough that I finish hatching an egg. At seven I go pick Chris up and we go to Cape Fear Games.

I was going to enter a raffle for a gift card, but there’s more steps to entering than it would be worth to not win. Instead I just enjoy the double Pokéstops and lures. Chris gets some tokens for pathfinder and we head back to the house.

For dinner I heat up some Smithfield’s. Chris and I watch the second episode of Malcom in the Middle and the first of Limitless. From the few episodes I had previously seen, and now this episode, I think I like this show. I really hope it got picked up for another season.

After Limitless I head upstairs and grab my bed stuff. I throw some season one Futurama on and am off to sleep.

July 18, 2016: Court of Owls

Up at seven. My day starts with the new episode of Preacher. I’ve been told not to read the comics if I’m enjoying the show, looks like I won’t be reading the comics. Next up is the newest We Bare Bears followed by a few episodes of the Simpsons.

I hit Pokéstops on the way into work. My shift is pretty much uneventful as usual. Then I go around the village a bit after I get off. By seven I’m home and eating pizza.

After dinner I put on Mad Max: Road Warrior. It’s not long before Chris and Clay join me. I always forget just how fun this movie is. After the movie I watch Futurama to go to sleep.
