My early morning is filled with more Family Guy and The Batman before work. My shift is slow for the first hour and a half and then blows up to the point that I don’t leave until five. Good day really. Much better tips than I got on Saturday. After work I head over to Memory Lane to hang out and pick up my books.

After the comic shop I go have dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings with Calie and Clay. I always trick myself into thinking the Honey BBQ wings aren’t going to be as spicy as it is. When we’re fine eating we head home. I watch two episodes of The Batman, one of American Dad and a bunch of Family Guy until sleep comes.

This journal makes me want to find more adventures to have. My day to day can end up being almost the same journal for each week sometimes. I need spice.

I start my day as I finished the previous one, by watching family guy.  Once I’m coherent enough to focus on things I turn Netflix off and watch the new Flash episode. It’s good to see that Barry still pushes to be a hero even without his speed. I’m also getting more and more curious what they’ll do with Wally getting the speed force. Will they kill Barry or have two separate superheroes doing by Flash? Maybe Wally will go back to his city, join Ollie or maybe even join Rip. They have so many options and it just keeps me excited. I love it.

After the Flash I cook myself an egg and heat up a leftover steak for breakfast then sit down to watch two more episodes of The Batman. Manbat is awesome, his origin not so much though. Mr. Freeze however just seems over the top, maybe to the point of being OP. I have to give the series yours, they’re taking chances with all the liberties they take with well known characters.

I leave for work at ten, stop at Speedway for monsters and arrive at work by ten thirty. After yesterday, today is pretty boring. I’m pretty far ahead on everything, so there isn’t a ton to do in store and I take very few deliveries in the morning, but a bunch at the end of my shift.

Back home we have a taco dinner party for a friend who’s in town for a few days. Towards the end of the night we play a lot of Batman Love Letter. Can never go wrong with that. Before everyone leaves I spread the word of I Hate Fairyland to Dean and Reid, the latter of whom actually borrows the trade to read in the next few days. Afterwards I go to bed to family guy.

Up at seven, I watch Family Guy to get my mind going. After a while I switch to Hulu and Lip Sync Battle, which I watch until ten. That’s when I leave for work.

On the way I stop in at Speedway for Monster. Early in my shift I have three deliveries, after that the day gets weird. I have one lady come in and first try to order before giving me her number or anything, then wants me to make a thin crust personal pan for her. After I explain to her that personal pans are in fact pan pizzas, she gets upset that our quote time on carry out is fifteen minutes and doesn’t come back for her pizza for thirty minutes.

Next weird thing of the day was a high school girl came in dressed as a baby and it was never addressed. Then I get a call from someone else who wants to place her whole order before telling me if it will even be delivery or carry out, then gets short with me because she wants to tell me her whole phone number as one yelping utterance.

I have one customer call and want a credit that was put on her account five months ago. After I remind her that the credits only stay in the system for thirty days she asks for a number to place a complaint. I hand the phone off to Emily. Then take another call. Again it’s a customer who wants to place the order before I can start it the right way. Finally she tells me it’ll be delivery, had trouble understanding that I need her number with the area code and then it turns out she’s in Hampstead NY. By the end of my shift I feel like I’m losing my mind. This day has made no sense.

From the store I head to town. I flip flop on going to the comic shop or not, but in the end I choose to go hang out. It’s always nice to just chill out in a comic shop for two hours. Eric and I just shoot the shit until they close up for the day. Topics range from podcasts to Yogahosers news.

Before going home, I run over to Walmart to grab some steaks. At the house I marinate and grill steaks for dinner. I watch a few more episodes of The Batman before switching to Family Guy to sleep.

When I wake up I watch a couple episodes of Family Guy and Psych before heading out to work. My shift is nothing spectacular, but for a Monday it isn’t bad. I have a handful of deliveries and the usual things to do in the store. Around two thirty I take two deliveries. On the first I would normally get stiffed, but today I get a decent tip. On the other I’d usually get a decent tip, instead I get offered a slice of he pizza. What even is this day?

After work I just head home. No adventures for me today. Instead, Chris and I get Chinese food for dinner. While we eat, we watch an episode of Psych. Then I watch the first two episodes of The Batman. It can be a bit weird to get into. Apparently Bruce has been Batman for three years, he’s only known as a rumor so far and yet he is already working on crazy tech even though he has only fought street thugs so far. Never the less, I think it’ll be a fun watch. To go to sleep I switch to Family Guy.

The day starts with a big breakfast that Calie prepared. Afterwards I head out to get drinks and such for the cookout later. My first stop is at Walmart. I grab some loppers for Clay, two packs of cookies and a package of red hotdogs for Calie. Next I head to the Speedway in Ogden. I’m looking for 32oz Smirnoff Screwdrivers, but they don’t have them. Instead I grab two cans of Not Your Father’s Rootbeer.

On the way back to the house I give the Speedway on Gordon a shot. Here I find my Screwdrivers. Then it’s back to the house. I read comics upstairs for a while until I get a call from Taylor. She tells me she has some surprises for me and is heading over.

Taylor and Jay come over soon after with some swag for me. First Jay gives me a copy of Chasing Dogma that he had. It’s weird to think that, as much as I love comics and Kevin Smith’s work, I’ve never had a copy of this book. He also has two of the KB Toys Star Wars promotional hangers that are pretty awesome and two Simpsons Watches I’ll be getting batteries for soon.

We all chill on the porch for a while talking. They tell me stories of yardsale adventures and we all have a good laugh. I invite them in, but they’ve got tacos to eat, so instead we say goodbye.

The cookout, by any standard, is a great success. Calie and Clay a very loved and it showed. I’m very happy they found each other ten years ago and happy to still be a part of their lives. After the cookout I retire to the couch. It’s Netflix and sleep for me.

Not sure when I woke up, but not long after that point the cleaning begins. All morning is spent cleaning. Around noon I head to the mall to have Robin’s rings cleaned. Last time I took care of this if took an hour or so. I plan the rest of my day according to this. It takes maybe give minutes.

With more time than I expected left before work, I grab lunch from Firehouse and head back home. I spend the next few hours watching Netflix. At four I head out again. On my way to work I stop at Speedway and grab monsters.

Tonight I feel more like Randall than Dante. Most days I go to work and I’m by the book, this is what I have to do and this is what I’m doing, but today I I’m in a good mood and just going to do what I have to and enjoy myself as much as I can. Monetarily it really wasn’t worth my time, which is a shame seeing as everyone tells me I’d make so much more if I worked a weekend or night shift. This was both and I made pretty much the same as I would during a weekday, granted in two less hours, but still.

When I clock out, I head over to Burrito shak to grab dinner then head home. I finish my day with Netflix and hope for a more relaxing day tomorrow.

At seven o’clock I get woken up by a knock at the door. It’s the police and they’re asking if any of us had seen or heard anything through the night. Turns out that one of our neighbors (a friend of Mia and Taylor’s, which only makes it more sad) had been fatally attacked. Needless to say my day had a very off start.

My work shift was pretty lame for a Friday. Nothing really interesting to say about it really. On the way home I stopped in at Walmart for drinks. After I get home, Clay and I go get Arby’s for dinner then head home for game night.

Around eight Sean comes over and we start the night with a few rounds of Batman Love Letter. After a little while we switch over to T.I.M.E. Stories Prophecy of Dragons. Shortly after we start Kyle comes over and we have him join us. You’d think, in a game like this, having five people would make things easier. You’d be wrong. There are parts where you end up wasting more time units per person. Around one we finish the first part of the story. The game is actually set up to save your progress, so we call it a night. I go to bed to American Dad.

At seven or eight I wake up. I’m not sure which because I don’t remember turning off my alarms. When I do wake up I instantly start my morning with two episodes of American Dad on Netflix before getting up to make coffee. Then I move over to watching the two newest episodes. The one about with the time machine was really good.

Between American Dad and work I watch two episodes of Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Chris starts asking questions about Charlie and then blows my mind with a theory on him. He suggests that Charlie may not actually be stupid, in fact he seems much smarter than the rest of the gang at times. Maybe he’s actually just insane. The reason he can’t read is because, in his mind, books are evil. Is really interesting to think about.

Work is probably more eventful than it’s been in a while. About halfway through the day Clayton has to rush out for a family emergency and Emily comes in. It leaves me only able to hope everything is okay.

After work I head back into town. First I hit gamestop on my hunt for a certain Pop! Then over to MovieStop next door. There my quest ends. I now have both my Ele Finnick Pop! and a need for a new toy quest goal.

From there I walk over to Memory Lane to get my books. Most notable book would have to be the I Hate Fairyland trade volume one. I may be a little in love with this series. If this is the first time you’re hearing me talk about it, just know that it is the perfect blend of cute and disturbing. Check it out.

For dinner I join Clay, Calie and two of her friends for dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. They join me in trivia tonight. I win both games, but the second came very close. After that it’s back home and to Sam’s Club for Clay and Calie.

Shortly after getting to the house I get a text from Sean about watching a movie and he heads over. Just before Sean shows up, Clay and Calie get home and I help Clay get his new grill in until he can put it together. Sean and I sit down to watch Inbetweeners 2. Clay joins us to start, but within the first fifteen minutes he’s out.

This movie is so good. I am honestly laughing so much I cry through most of it. By the end you’re wanting more of the characters than ever before. I really hope we get at least one more flick before they call it quits.

After the movie is over Sean heads home. Not long after he leaves, I fall asleep to something on Netflix.

I wake up at seven as I usually do. I start the day with the new Flash episode. They’re taking steps towards Wally tapping into the speed force. By the time I finish the episode, I get a text from Clayton. The truck came in late so he needs me to come in early.

When I get to work, I take over with roasting wings while Clayton puts the truck away. After that’s done I go back to the truck to finish yesterday’s journal and listen to Cabin Boys until my shift actually starts.

Once my day actually starts it’s pretty normal. Deliveries blah blah blah sauce blah pasta. After work I hit CVS before heading over to Charles’. Sean and I hang out with Charles until time to head to Sean’s mom’s.

For dinner Sean makes some pigs in a blanket, cheesy tatertots and beans. While eating we watch Wheel of Fortune and notice that the person in the middle always seems to have a bad night. On jeopardy they have a Disney category that I do pretty well with. Around nine Sean and I head out.

We stop at Lowe’s looking for bottles of Arby’s sauce, but have no luck. But I do have a new thing to hunt. After that Sean takes me back to green ranger and I head home.

I watch a few episodes of American Dad before I get kicked off Netflix. I switch to Hulu and watch a couple episodes of Metalocalypse. Then I give Netflix another shot and watch American Dad till I fall asleep.
